Let me start by saying that 2015 was a rough year for me. I lost the only grandfather I had ever known, My father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I started to go through my divorce with my ex-husband, my father passed away a short 6 weeks after his diagnosis, and lastly, my divorce was finalized. Finding my Mantra to Happiness wouldn’t even show up on my radar till the middle of 2016.
With everything that had happened, my mental health, to say the least, was drowning.
2016 I knew I wasn’t who I wanted to be. I went through the day to day motions but that was it. Nothing sparked me getting out of bed in the morning other than I needed to make ends meet.
What did I do to get out of my hole of isolation? I went to art therapy! There she gave me a Mantra to happiness, to guide me when I was down.

I repeated the mantra above every single time that I had a negative experience. With every negative thing that happened to I began to
- Losing my grandfather – I think of all the happy memories I got from knowing my grandfather.
- The passing of my father – I have developed a closer relationship with my mother.
- My divorce – I knew what I wanted in a marriage, in a husband.
Your mantra to happiness is probably different than mine, and that is fine. You have to find out what is going to work for you!
